East Matunuck Town Beach
A town-operated beach adjacent to the state beach with similar amenities but often less crowded. Popular with locals for swimming, surfing, and fishing with views of Block Island on clear days.
South Shore Beach
A town beach in rural Little Compton adjacent to Goosewing Beach Preserve. Features a mix of sand and stones with a natural, uncrowded atmosphere and beautiful coastal landscape.
King’s Beach
A free public beach along Ocean Road in Narragansett with interesting rock formations and good surf conditions. Less developed than nearby state beaches but offers scenic views and easy access.
Conimicut Point Beach
A small beach at the northern tip of Warwick with views of Conimicut Lighthouse and the entrance to Providence River. Features picnic areas, fishing spots, and a relaxed atmosphere.
East Matunuck State Beach
A barrier beach between Block Island Sound and Potter Pond with excellent swimming and fishing. Features a modern pavilion with solar panels and nearby access to kayaking in the salt pond.
Charlestown Breachway
A channel connecting Ninigret Pond to the Atlantic Ocean with adjacent beach areas. Popular for saltwater fishing, RV camping, and bird watching with access to both pond and ocean waters.
Salty Brine State Beach
A small, sheltered beach at the entrance to Galilee Harbor named for a beloved local radio personality. Features excellent facilities, wheelchair accessibility, and views of fishing boats entering and leaving port.
