Affiliate Disclosure

The Beach Directory (thebeachdirectory.com), operated by Viking Trading Group LLC, provides free public beach listings, regional coastal travel guides, and printable beach planning checklists across 21 U.S. states. To help fund the research, hosting, and ongoing maintenance of the directory, some of our beach gear articles and buyer guides include affiliate links.

How Affiliate Links Work

When you click an affiliate link on our site and purchase a product, such as a surfboard, inflatable paddleboard, beach cooler, sun tent, or pair of open-water swim goggles, we may earn a small referral commission from the retailer. Clicking an affiliate link never costs you anything extra; the price you pay is identical to buying directly from the merchant.

Amazon Associates Program Disclosure

The Beach Directory is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We also participate in other outdoor, surf, and coastal travel affiliate programs.

Editorial Independence & Public Beach Listings

Our public beach listings, state coastal hubs, parking fee tables, and water safety guides are never influenced by advertisers or affiliate partnerships. State parks, municipal beaches, and federal recreation areas do not pay to be listed or ranked in our directory. In our gear guides, we evaluate equipment based on practical coastal criteria: board volume in liters, drop-stitch PSI ratings, cooler ice retention and carry weight over soft sand, UPF sun protection ratings, and lens visibility in open water.

If you have any questions about this disclosure or how our site operates, please read our Editorial Policy or reach out via our Contact Us page.
