South Cape Beach
A state park featuring a mile-long sandy beach on Nantucket Sound adjacent to the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Offers hiking trails through salt marshes and pine woods.
Salisbury Beach
A 3.8-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean beach with a campground and recreational facilities. Features a lively beachfront area with food stands, arcade, and entertainment adjacent to the state reservation.
Nahant Beach
A 2.5-mile beach on a causeway connecting Nahant peninsula to the mainland. Features a promenade ideal for walking and jogging with volleyball courts and convenient access from Boston and its suburbs.
Scusset Beach
A sandy beach at the start of the Cape Cod Canal with camping facilities and a 3,000-foot jetty popular for fishing. Offers excellent views of ships entering and exiting the canal.
Nauset Beach
A 10-mile stretch of barrier beach on the Atlantic Ocean with rolling surf and golden sand. Known for good surfing conditions, fishing opportunities, and permitted off-road vehicle access in certain areas.
