About This Beach
Victoria Beach is a hidden gem in Laguna Beach, accessible via a steep staircase between residential properties. The beach is famous for its 60-foot medieval-looking “La Tour” (also called the Pirate Tower), a stone tower built in 1926 as a private staircase for the owner of the cliffside home above. This photogenic structure against the cliff face makes Victoria Beach a favorite for photographers and Instagram enthusiasts. The beach also features a circular, man-made pool known as the “Victorian Pool” that fills with seawater during high tide. Rocky outcroppings at both ends of the beach create tide pools for exploration, while the center section offers a sandy area for sunbathing and swimming when conditions permit.
