Home/Texas/Seawall Urban Park

About This Beach

Seawall Urban Park stretches along 10 miles of Galveston’s famous Seawall Boulevard, combining beach access with urban amenities. The historic seawall, built after the devastating 1900 hurricane, rises 17 feet above the beach and features the longest continuous sidewalk in the United States. The area offers numerous restaurants, shops, and attractions along the boulevard with convenient beach access points. Amenities include beach chair and umbrella rentals, restrooms, and outdoor showers. The Seawall provides fishing opportunities without needing to be directly on the beach. Free exercise stations are installed along the sidewalk, creating an outdoor gym with ocean views.
