About This Beach

Lincoln Park in West Seattle combines a mile of saltwater beach along Puget Sound with 135 acres of forest trails and recreational facilities. The beach includes both rocky and sandy sections, with a paved path running its length. The park features Colman Pool, a heated saltwater pool with views of Puget Sound (open summers). Located near the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal, the beach offers views of ferry traffic between Seattle and Vashon Island. The forested upper portion of the park connects to the beach via multiple trails and staircases, creating a diverse ecosystem experience within one park. Wildlife sightings include seals, sea lions, herons, and occasionally orcas passing by offshore. The park’s mature forest includes examples of old-growth Douglas fir and Western red cedar.
