About This Beach

Joemma Beach State Park is a secluded 122-acre marine park on the Key Peninsula featuring 3,000 feet of saltwater shoreline on Case Inlet of Puget Sound. The beach is notable for being a stop on the Cascadia Marine Trail, a water trail for human-powered boats. The park offers primitive campsites that are particularly popular with kayakers. Shellfish harvesting is permitted in season with the appropriate license. The relatively undeveloped park provides a quiet, natural beach experience far from crowds. The beach is a mix of sand and small rocks, with excellent views of Herron Island and the Olympic Mountains. Forest trails connect the camping areas to the beach, offering short hiking opportunities through coastal woods.
