About This Beach
Named for the gold discovered in the sands in the mid-1800s, this beach sits at the mouth of the mighty Rogue River. The beach offers excellent fishing, beachcombing, and the unique experience of jetboat tours up the Wild and Scenic Rogue River. The long, uncrowded shoreline provides peaceful walks with views of dramatic rock formations and frequent wildlife sightings.
