Known as “The Outer Banks of Virginia,” featuring 5 miles of secluded beaches away from the main tourist area. Primarily residential with vacation rentals, limited commercial development, and quieter atmosphere. Adjacent to Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
North Shores Beach
Semi-private beach in upscale residential community between Rehoboth Beach and Henlopen Acres. Features quieter atmosphere than neighboring public beaches. Limited public access with primarily resident use and some vacation rentals.
Conquest Road Beach
Residential beach area north of Rehoboth Beach main town area. Less crowded with reduced commercial activity. Portions designated as dog-friendly beach during certain hours and seasons (check current regulations).
Deauville Beach
Residential beach area at northern end of Rehoboth Beach. Less crowded than main beach areas with primarily local and rental property access. Features standard beach amenities with quieter, more relaxed atmosphere.
South Bethany Beach
Quiet residential beach community known as “The Best Little Beach in Delaware.” Features canal system on bay side offering additional water activities and fishing. Clean beaches with seasonal lifeguards and limited commercial development.
Margate Beach
Residential beach community home to Lucy the Elephant, a six-story elephant-shaped building and National Historic Landmark. Features well-maintained beaches with seasonal lifeguards. Beach tags required.
