Orient Beach State Park

Sunken Meadow State Park
North Shore beach on Long Island Sound with three miles of shoreline. Calmer waters ideal for families with young children. Features hiking trails along coastal bluffs and through wetlands.
Rocky Neck State Park
A diverse park featuring a crescent-shaped sandy beach, salt marsh, and rocky shoreline. Includes a unique stone pavilion built by the Works Progress Administration with camping and hiking trails.
Mohegan Bluffs Beach
A dramatic beach below 200-foot clay cliffs on Block Island, accessed via a 141-step staircase. Offers spectacular ocean views, relatively uncrowded atmosphere, and unique geological features.
Sachuest Beach (Second Beach)
A mile-long beach adjacent to the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Features excellent surf conditions, scenic views, and proximity to hiking trails with diverse coastal wildlife.
Marconi Beach
Named for the site of the first transatlantic wireless communication, this beach features towering clay cliffs and expansive Atlantic Ocean views. Offers good surfing conditions and a less crowded atmosphere.
South Cape Beach
A state park featuring a mile-long sandy beach on Nantucket Sound adjacent to the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Offers hiking trails through salt marshes and pine woods.
Sandy Neck Beach
A 6-mile barrier beach with diverse coastal habitats including maritime forest and salt marshes. Offers off-road vehicle access, primitive camping, and hiking trails through unique ecosystems.
