Elms Beach Park
Quiet St. Mary’s County park on Chesapeake Bay featuring a sandy beach, fishing opportunities, and natural setting. Offers picnic facilities, portable toilets, and nature observation. Less crowded than many Bay beaches with limited facilities.
Terrapin Beach Park
Queen Anne’s County park on Kent Island featuring a small beach area, 3.25-mile nature trail, and diverse ecosystems. Offers beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, wildlife viewing opportunities, and natural sandy shoreline. Free admission.
Corsons Inlet State Park
Protected natural area between Ocean City and Strathmere featuring unspoiled beaches, tidal marshes, and dunes. Offers hiking trails, birdwatching opportunities, and fishing. No beach badges required with limited facilities.
Cape May Point Beach
Quiet beach community at the southernmost tip of New Jersey featuring Cape May Lighthouse, Sunset Beach, and Cape May Bird Observatory. Known for dolphin watching, cape may diamonds, and spectacular sunsets. Beach tags required.
Cape May Beach
Historic Victorian beach town with pristine beaches and charming atmosphere. Features well-maintained beaches with lifeguards, beach tags required. Known for dolphin watching and spectacular sunsets.
Sandy Hook Beach
Part of Gateway National Recreation Area with seven miles of ocean beaches, biking paths, and hiking trails. Includes Gunnison Beach (clothing-optional), fishing areas, and the historic Sandy Hook Lighthouse.
Sand Bar State Park
Features a natural sandy beach with shallow, warm water ideal for families with children. Located on the narrow isthmus between South Hero Island and mainland Vermont with excellent facilities.
