Charlestown Breachway
A channel connecting Ninigret Pond to the Atlantic Ocean with adjacent beach areas. Popular for saltwater fishing, RV camping, and bird watching with access to both pond and ocean waters.
Sachuest Beach (Second Beach)
A mile-long beach adjacent to the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Features excellent surf conditions, scenic views, and proximity to hiking trails with diverse coastal wildlife.
Goosewing Beach
A pristine barrier beach managed by The Nature Conservancy adjacent to South Shore Beach. Offers a natural beach experience with important nesting habitat for piping plovers and other shorebirds.
Horseneck Beach
A 2-mile barrier beach on Buzzards Bay with panoramic views and rolling surf. Features camping facilities, excellent bird watching in adjacent salt marshes, and consistent breezes for windsurfing.
Plum Island Beach
A barrier island with over 11 miles of pristine beaches, part of which is within Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Offers excellent bird watching, surf fishing, and natural beach environment.
Crane Beach
A pristine 4-mile sandy beach managed by The Trustees of Reservations with dunes and maritime forest. Features walking trails, bathhouse facilities, and conservation efforts protecting piping plover habitat.
D.A.R. State Park
A day-use park on Lake Champlain offering spectacular views of the Adirondack Mountains and a small beach area. Named for the Daughters of the American Revolution who donated the land.
Shelburne Bay Park
A town park with beach access on Shelburne Bay of Lake Champlain. Features a popular walking trail, kayak launch, and fishing access in a scenic natural setting near Shelburne Museum.
Alburg Dunes State Park
Features one of the longest natural sand beaches on Lake Champlain with rare sand dune formations. The southerly exposure provides warm, shallow water for swimming and panoramic lake views.
