About This Beach

Grayland Beach State Park offers 7,449 feet of ocean frontage on the Pacific Ocean south of Westport. The beach is known for its excellent razor clam digging during designated seasons. The 412-acre park includes 4 miles of flat, sandy beach that permits vehicle access in certain areas. The steady winds make it ideal for kite flying and kite buggying. Beachcombers find Japanese glass floats and other treasures washed ashore, particularly after winter storms. The park offers yurts and campsites for overnight stays, many within walking distance of the beach. The area’s history is tied to cranberry farming, with bogs visible inland from the park. The relatively uncrowded beach provides a more solitary experience than nearby Ocean Shores.
